About Us
Our Story
We’re a husband-and-wife maker team from Calgary, Alberta, with sawdust in our veins and a 3D printer humming in the background. Coming from a long line of makers, tradespeople, and crafters that goes back generations (on both sides!), creativity is pretty much our family tradition.
We love dreaming up unique ideas and turning them into something real — whether it’s in wood, metal, fibre, or filament (and often all of the above). One of us usually starts with what sounds like a “crazy idea,” and the other says, “Hmm… maybe that could actually work.” Then, after a bit of back-and-forth and a few laughs, we end up with something we’re truly proud of.
JC Squared actually began almost 20 years ago, but only recently did we decide to kick things into high gear — diving deeper into our shared passion for creating, experimenting, and building awesome handmade originals.

As a true “Jo of all trades,” Joie handles everything from design and creation to admin and shop work—and loves every minute. She’s fueled by creativity, blending materials and techniques to craft pieces that are as practical as they are beautiful.

A maker to his core, Jason is a master of many hobbies and a natural at them all. With over 25 years in the trades, he’s no stranger to building—but it’s his knack for turning ideas into reality that makes him a true wizard of the workshop.

Shop Supervisor, Chief of Security
Our fearless Shop Supervisor and Chief of Security. At a mighty 5 pounds, he keeps a close eye on production, alerts us to every delivery (and squirrel), and ensures all snacks are properly shared. Morale booster, nap enthusiast, and certified good boy.
